The Vehicle's Story

5.9l 24 valve Cummins.
Purchased Sept.2017 at 220xxxkm and now sitting at 292xxxkm.

Originally from the Kootney’s I am the vehicles 3rd owner.
In the last image you can see what the truck looked like when I originally bought it.
The previous owner had only put 20k km in 7 years of owning the truck due to the fact it was purchased for his wife to go camping by herself which she only went once.
Being a HD mechanic he decided to add some upgrades.
2” level in the front, 30hp injectors, Edge chip, 4” stainless exhaust and then he blew the transmission.
Next he rebuilt the transmission and decided to go with a bigger aftermarket torque converter.

Once I purchased the truck the first week I bought a k&n cold air intake, then decided to rip all the chrome accessories… which lead to fender flares due to all the wheel wells being rotten.
Next came an order of wheels and rims. I decided on some 17” Mickey Thompson’s with 35×12.5 duratracs.

After a few months I was looking at a fleece turbo which was very pricey.
My buddy talked mentioned to me just ordering a new fan wheel, because I wasn’t so fixated on the power upgrade, but more the whistle.
Well it was the best decision, she has a very nice whistle and let off.
It was definitely a bitch to take apart but it was worth saving thousands.

The truck began experiencing wiring issues (big surprise) but it has not caused any issues apart from on my cluster gauge. It has been over a year now and I’ve had two difference HD shops look at it and be unable to solve the issue apart from replacing my ECM which they’re guessing is the issue.

I’ve removed the edge chip and replace it with an S-03 Smarty Tuner since having wiring issue and have noticed to difference apart from the power difference.

Nothing more for upgrades apart from steering components, will keep this updated as mods trickle in.
