Like Carfax, but free:

Well, whether you’re buying a new-to-you car, selling your current one, or documenting your current pride and joy as much as you can, VIN histories (or Carfax reports) come in handy. As you know, We here at Pipetale want to create a website that utilizes the concept of social media to make VIN reports free. However, today we’ve given you three tools that will help you document, and discover more about your car than you could have imagined. Which plant was it assembled at? Was it ever stolen, or used for fraud? How much did it sell for, and what options did it come with? All of these questions, can be answered for FREE! Let’s dive in to the infographic:

These tools are incredibly useful, and we here at Pipetale utilize them all the time when researching vehicles. Utilizing these tools, we should be able to determine basic information like Vehicle theft reports, Original asking price, and where the vehicle was sold so we can contact the local dealership. (I got $700 in free work done to my Acura doing this just via recalls… and it was at 270,000 kms!)

I hope this helps you on your car buying journeys, share to social to save a life! (And a wallet! $40-70/report adds up FAST when you’re vehicle shopping!)
